Everyone! Vivace can be safely used on all skin types. If you would like to improve your skin quality (even skin tone, decreased pore size, better texture) and have an overall glow, then Vivace is for you!
We first apply numbing cream. Once you are numb, we will use the ultrasound component of the Vivace Ultra to measure your skin thickness. We will then start the treatment. A handpiece with very fine needles is used with a stamping motion. These needles deliver radiofrequency energy into the skin.
We apply numbing cream prior to treatment. We also offer Pronox, which is a lower strength laughing gas that allows you to drive home shortly after treatment.
Vivace does help with acne scars! Typically more treatments are needed for acne scarring. We may also combine Vivace with Sculptra to enhance your results.
We typically start with a series of 3 treatments spaced a month apart, although more severe skin conditions may need additional treatments. We recommend doing at least 1-2 Vivace treatments per year for maintenance after your initial series.
After your Vivace Ultra treatment your skin will be red. This subsides within hours or by the next day. You may also experience some needle marks on the skin which may last for 1-2 weeks and have dry or flaky skin during the first week. Post-treatment we recommend avoiding exercise and makeup for 24 hours.
