What Is Sculptra?

Uncover natural rejuvenation.

Sculptra is a type of filler that provides no immediate change in volume but instead will gradually build your own collagen. This results in an all-over, natural-looking boost in volume. Sculptra is made from poly-l-lactic acid, a synthetic form of lactic acid which is already found in your body. Sculptra stands out for its unique ability to deliver gradual, natural results. At Curated Medical, we use Sculptra as a stand-alone treatment or will combine Sculptra with hyaluronic acid filler when more structure is needed in certain areas. Enhance your aesthetic journey with Sculptra and discover the “Sculptra Glow.”

How Does Botox Work?

Understanding the process.

Every smile, frown, or laugh activates facial muscles, leading to the formation of dynamic wrinkles. Botox is a trusted muscle relaxer in the neuromodulator category and intervenes by softening these wrinkles. It provides a non-invasive solution, effectively addressing the visible signs of aging and leaving you with a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance. Applied to key areas like the forehead, eyes, and mouth, Botox subtly transforms the signs of aging with a touch of elegance. The precision and effectiveness of Botox make it a preferred choice for those seeking a smoother and more youthful look.

What Are the Benefits of Botox?

The positive results.

Botox offers several benefits, making it a popular choice for many. One key advantage is its ability to reduce wrinkles and fine lines, providing a more youthful and refreshed appearance. The treatment is quick, with noticeable results within a couple of weeks. Because Botox is versatile, it addresses various areas like the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet. Beyond its cosmetic applications, Botox can be used for treating concerns such as excessive sweating or jaw pain. Our experienced team ensures you get the best, natural-looking results without any overdone appearance.

What to Expect

Understanding the procedure.

When getting Botox, expect a swift and efficient procedure. The appointment typically lasts around half an hour, including a consultation, health history discussion, and goal exploration. The injection process takes just a few minutes, and you’ll be amazed at how quick and easy it is. We’ll ask you to make facial expressions to target specific muscles, using a small needle for precise injections. You might notice minor fluid pockets and occasional small bruises, but these typically resolve quickly. Botox is FDA-approved and safe, with results visible within two weeks and lasting about 3-4 months. It’s an efficient way to maintain a refreshed appearance.

How Does Sculptra Work?

Understanding the process.

Sculptra is a distinct filler made from poly-L-lactic acid, designed to stimulate collagen through an immune response, resulting in natural results that help slow down the aging process. Unlike the immediate changes observed with Juvederm, Restylane, or Versa, Sculptra promotes a gradual transformation by encouraging your own collagen growth over a span of 6-8 weeks. Typically utilized for whole-face rejuvenation in 2-3 sessions spaced 6-weeks apart, Sculptra guarantees a softer and more youthful appearance. Consider a consultation before Sculptra injections at Curated Medical, highlighting our commitment to a personalized and professional approach.

What Are the Benefits of Sculptra?

The positive results.

Sculptra, as a dermal filler, has many benefits. Aside from creating soft volume and giving the skin a nice glow, by building collagen you are slowing down the aging process. Not only will you see results now, but your skin will look better over time. A typical Sculptra treatment includes injections for most areas of the face, rather than augmenting one area like you would with hyaluronic acid filler.

What to Expect.

Understanding the procedure.

At Curated Medical, we make Sculptra as simple and painless as possible. We start by cleaning the face and injecting lidocaine to numb the areas being treated. Next, a small needle or cannula will be used to inject the Sculptra. After the treatment, you will have some swelling and possible bruising. Typically, Sculptra is done as a series of 2 sessions. Sculptra’s effects appear in 6-8 weeks and can last up to 2 years, although we do recommend an annual maintenance treatment.

Sculptra is a filler that stimulates collagen, rather than being a gel filer like Juvederm or Restylane. Because it volumizes by building collagen, it also helps to slow down the aging process. Sculptra provides very natural-looking results and can also help to improve skin quality.

During your appointment, your face will first be cleaned and then numbed using lidocaine injections. The Sculptra will then be injected with small needles or cannulas. After the appointment, you will be swollen but the results won’t be seen for 6-8 weeks.

After the appointment, you will have some swelling. Sculptra comes as a powder and is mixed with water so that it can be injected. After the appointment, your face will look full because of the water that has been injected. Your body will absorb the water over a couple of days and it won’t look like anything changed. Over the next 6-8 weeks, collagen will be stimulated and you will start to see the results.

Sculptra and hyaluronic acid are both great options and are used for different reasons. If you need more structure (like in the jawline or chin) or want immediate results, then hyaluronic acid fillers are a better choice. If you want gradual, natural, all-over volume, then Sculptra is great! If you’re not sure, schedule a consultation and we can help!

$850-$1700 per treatment. We do offer discounts on multiple syringes done at one time and have a membership option that includes discounts on filler. We also accept Alle and Aspire rewards and have a payment plan program called Cherry which allows you to pay monthly for your service.
